TEACHERS AND SUPPLY TEACHERS

Why spend hours preparing your own resources when for about 1p or even less per worksheet they have all been done for you. I have lots of resources on the TES site and the huge number of downloads and positive comments indicate that over 100 000 teachers are using Burt Books resources in their classrooms. You can find the resources at TES by clicking on the TES link above. Please note that these are not full resources and only sections of each resource.

TUTOR YOUR CHILD AT HOME

If you have a child whose reading is not "up to standard" according to their teachers - the Burt Reading Scheme could help you to tutor your own child at home. All the resources and information that you need are provided and online help is always available if you have any queries. An email query will be responded to very quickly. Download the samples to try out and print out the various guides that you can find at EDUCATION FACT SHEETS.

EARN A LIVING OR SECOND INCOME BY TUTORING CHILDREN WITH READING PROBLEMS

The Burt Reading Scheme will give you everything that you need to become a successful tutor. Click here to download the guide to becoming a tutor.

Click here to register yourself as a tutour in the UK

There is also a step by step guide for using the Burt Reading scheme available by emailing info@burtbooks.com

Who can become a tutor?

• A supply teacher who needs extra income in the afternoons - (could charge £20 - £25 per hour)

• A University student who needs to supplement their income - (could charge £10 - £15 per hour)

• A retired person who has time on their hands in the afternoons - (could charge £10 - £25 per hour depending on their qualifications)

• Anyone with a reasonable education and who is patient and loves children -(could charge £10 - £25 per hour depending on their qualifications)

In the UK there are many agencies that you can join to acquire pupils in your area. I personally belong to FIRST TUTORS (www.firsttutors.com) I will happily give advice on creating your profile. Just email me at info@burtbooks.com. First Tutors is great because there are no fees payable by the tutor. I will advise you on the fees that are reasonable for you to charge. There are many other ways to create a clientele and word of mouth is probably the best method.

HOME EDUCATORS

Mums / Dads - you probably have a home education scheme already but browse through the resources available to find great information and resources to supplement your schemes. According to Currclick (USA home educators) I have a 5 star rating for all my resources.
